Rite of Swing Jazz Cafe is located in the halls of Temple Performing Arts Center at Temple University. Being a humble venue that’s waiting to go mainstream, it has been claimed by Tim Brey, a jazz pianist and a Temple University alumnus, as one of Philadelphia’s best-kept secrets in the jazz music scene. The cafe hosts various shows of different jazz artists on select Thursdays throughout the semester from 4:30 to 6:30pm.
