You’ll only hear good things about Aviv when looking for a good kosher restaurant here in Portland. It’s a well-loved restaurant that serves food inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine so expect a lot of flavors and food choices. Their cauliflower, grilled mushroom plate, and shawarma plates are meals you should add on your list of things to eat here. These meals are customers’ favorites because of different reasons - flavors, serving sizes, presentation, and more. The food here is very unique yet it still respects the kosher preference of several customers which is such a bonus. The place is also wonderful - it’s quite relaxing and peaceful.

Located inside the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, this restaurant will let you enjoy kosher food in a jiffy. Cafe at the J is considered to be the only kosher dairy restaurant in the city. They often switch up the menu depending on the ingredients they have but some of their regular food choices are homemade soups, special salads, baked goods, fish specials, yogurt, and fruits. They also serve meat every Tuesday night while the rest of the days are dairy. They also have kosher wine which is something really interesting you should try.
