Lake Hartwell is a 56,000-ac (22,662-ha) body of water located in Lake Hartwell State Park. The park is near the border between South Carolina and Georgia, off I-85. Two things that visitors love to do here are fishing and picnicking. Lake Hartwell is home to a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, crappie and bream. You’ll need a fishing licence, which you can purchase online from South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. When done fishing, you can rest at the state park’s picnic shelter, which comes with a kitchen and can take up to 75 people. Alternatively, you can head to the nearby Sadlers Creek State Park or Tugaloo State Park. There are more things to do in this area, and the best way to enjoy its beauty is by booking a unique accommodation with nature as your backdrop. Check out these top yurts near Lake Hartwell, USA.
