This tent-only site sits along Icicle Creek sheltered by lush fir and pine trees within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. You can book a spot from mid-May to mid-September or sometimes till early October. Since the sites here are non-electric, it might not be ideal for meticulous guests and those with kids. Portable toilets, picnic tables, and a fire pit are available.

Nearby attractions include Stevens Pass Ski Area, Mt. Rainer National Park, and Stevens Pass Historic District.

The concessionaire-operated Ida Creek Campground lies at the intersection of Icicle Creek and Ida Creek. Since the spot is wheelchair accessible, those with mobility issues can also enjoy a hassle-free stay here. There are 20 single sites to choose from and 2 vaulted toilets to share with other adventure-seekers. Pavement parking awaits those arriving by car. Hookups are not available here.

Apart from the creek, nature walks are near the campground. The Chatter Creek Trail and Icicle Gorge Loop Trail are two of them. The Season opens on May 20 and closes on Sep 5.

10. Rock Island Campground

Rock Island Campground offers 20 single sites and 2 double sites on a first-come-first-served basis. Five vault toilets can be found on-site and are to be shared by campers. You can also find picnic tables and fire rings. This concessionaire-operated camping spot is close to swimming holes with water coming from Icicle Creek. Since there are picnic tables on-site, you can pack light. For hikers, Jack Trout Trailhead is one of the closes trails from the camp.

Note that sites here are not that big and huge RVs may not be ideal. Also, hookups aren’t provided here. The campground welcomes all campers, including fur babies. It is open during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
