Lisbon is a lively city in Portugal that is known for Fado houses, historic monuments, sunny weather, vibrant nightlife, and exquisite seafood. Being one of the oldest cities in Europe, Lisbon boasts a rich history and historical sites such as the 18th-century Church of St. Dominic, the fascinating Galerias Romanas, the archaeological museum of Núcleo Arqueológico da Rua dos Correeiros, and more. Its location on seven hills and its close proximity to Tagus River also makes it a scenic destination. You can hop on the vintage Tram 28 to explore the city’s beautiful landscape and prime attractions. Tip from tour guide
Praça do Rossio, also known as Praça Dom Pedro IV, is located a six-minute drive from the property and has always been one of the main squares of Lisbon. Located in the heart of the city, it's a significant meeting point for locals and tourists alike.
Featuring the beautiful buildings of Baixa, the region also boasts views of the old Convento do Carmo, the famous Elevador da Santa Justa, the neo-Manueline train station, Dona Maria II Theatre, and much more. Also, what most don't realize is how ancient the area itself is—you're walking on a 2,000-year-old Roman circus, now covered with the incredible wavy drawing of a calçada Portuguesa. This truly seems like some kind of magic to me.

Tip from tour guide
Take a 14-minute drive from here to reach Pastéis de Belém and try the famous egg custard tart in Lisbon and beyond. It's a bomb of sweetness and crunchiness that embraces your taste buds and slowly warms your heart. From the north to the south of Portugal, you will find regular pastéis de nata ('cream'), but in my opinion, they don't taste as good as Pastéis de Belém.
After the closure of convents and monasteries in 1834, the clergy found ways to survive. A group of nuns from Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Belém sold sweet pastries, soon known as ‘Pastéis de Belém.’ In 1837, they started baking them in a proper shop by following the ancient secret recipe. This is surely what makes them special!
P.S.: Enjoy as many as you want without checking the calories.
