Tennessee is perhaps best known for being the center of the music scene of the USA - it even has attractions centered around music legends Elvis and Dolly Parton - but it is also a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Many of its natural attractions can be found in or near the Smoky Mountains, which feature hiking trails that run for over 900 mi (1,448 km), some of which will give trekkers gorgeous views of lush greenery and waterfalls. You can even try the scenic train rides or book one of the fishing lodges to spice up your vacation. Luxury RV resorts across the state allow you to bond with Mother Nature without losing access to creature comforts. The best part? Some of these don’t even require you to have your own RVs to enjoy fantastic amenities. Scroll down to check out the best luxury RV resorts in Tennessee, USA.
What to look forward to in Tennessee:
- If you're driving down to Tennessee, specifically Lebanon, be sure to plan your trip in time for the famed Tennessee State Fair. Locals and tourists wait eagerly for the event, which occurs in mid-August. It features dozens of food vendors as well as entertainment options, including live music and rides for children and adults. As I love to get to know the culture of the places I visit, I would want to witness this celebration if I were in the area.
We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and access to luxury services and amenities. The growing popularity of RV travel in Tennessee, USA
In 2023, Business Observer reported that the RV retailer Lazydays purchased another RV store in Tennessee. It’s expected to generate a yearly revenue of 40 million USD, suggesting that the RV industry is still thriving in the area even after the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s no surprise that the state continues to attract travelers, as it has plenty of striking outdoor areas, such as byways and state parks for RV travelers to admire. Among its best options for a stop on your road trip are Roan Mountain State Park and Henry Horton State Park.
