Luxury is a word synonymous with the United Arab Emirates and nowhere is that more obvious than Dubai’s Majestic Hotel Tower. The most important thing when you are in Dubai is being central to all of the best locations that there is to offer. The Majestic Hotel Tower is right in the middle of all the best hot spots, including the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall.

Stunning rooms with modern facilities

The rooms at the hotel are absolutely stunning, fitted with modern facilities. You can expect a work desk and an Internet connection for business travellers, which comes at a charge although free Wi-Fi is available downstairs in the lobby (it did not really work in the rooms). Those who love to spend a little bit more time on their appearance before they hit all the beautiful bars and restaurants in the city will be pleased with the large mirror in your room. The bathrooms are shiny and clean with everything you may need to refresh after a day out in the stifling heat of Dubai. All rooms are complete with a safe.

There is a gorgeous outdoor pool and a sun terrace available to everyone who stays there, but the best part of the pool is the fantastic view of the Dubai skyline. The hotel has a health club with a sauna and steam rooms, with a special massage treatment zone for ladies. There is also a complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to the sandy beaches of Dubai about 15 minutes away.

Indulge in any of the seven bars and restaurants

There are seven bars and restaurants in the hotel, including Greek specialties and Arabic food that can be enjoyed beside the pool. It is so decadent that it almost feels illegal. Whether you opt for European food at Pierchic or Modern Asian at Eauzone, these are some of the nicest restaurants in Dubai. There is also a live music room with a live band.

Getting around

Travelling through Dubai is a journey in itself. There is a lot of it you can do by foot from your hotel, including through all the souks and around the river. The lure of all the gold shops will give you the energy to keep walking. Because of the river that intersects Dubai, you can travel through the city across the water. There are cruise tours across the river that will get you everywhere you need to be.

Otherwise, there are plenty of taxis in the city that will help you get from point A to B. The metered taxis are clean, safe and very new. This may break your budget, however, and it might be a good idea to find some other ways to get around. To keep costs low, you should try to take public transport such as buses, trams or trains. They can get you to pretty much any destination in the metropolis without too much of a worry. If you are organising a tour out of the city (which I highly recommend), you should book a minivan or a private car. This can be done at the concierge of the hotel.

Exploring Dubai from Majestic Hotel Tower

A visit to the Burj Khalifa is an absolute must, which is great if you are staying at the Majestic Hotel Dubai because it is just around the corner. This is the crowning jewel of the city and stands as one of the tallest buildings in the world. The Palm and World islands are also a must-visit and a trip to the Dubai Palace will leave you in awe. Head to the museum where you will get an insight into the history of the people of the United Arab Emirates, as they’ve gone from nomadic wanderers to a global icon of luxury. The decadence of the city can sometimes get too much, so when you are beginning to feel a bit drained, make your way out of the city on a desert safari. There are plenty of different tours to enjoy, including sandboarding, four-wheel driving, camel rides, and quad biking. All these and more can be arranged by the concierge at Majestic Hotel Tower.

Dubai is known for its amazing shopping and luxurious lifestyle. So when you are making your “what to do” list, put the amazing, expansive malls right at the top of your list. Start with the Dubai Mall, the biggest shopping mall in the world, with an impressive 1200 shops to choose from. You will not get through it in a day, but if you give yourself a few hours, you should be able to get through a fair chunk of it. Then you can make your way to the Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman and the Mercato Shopping Mall. If luxury labels are not your thing, you can find beautiful trinkets, homewares and jewellery in the many souks that line the river that winds through the city. Pick yourself a traditional spice container or some gorgeous gemstones from the vibrant stalls that make up the markets. Once you’ve done the damage to your credit card, you can move onto the other fantastic sights in the city.
