Situated in the western corner of the U.S. state of Texas, the city of El Paso is geographically located on the Rio Grande across Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez, the most populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. As such, the city’s culture is heavily influenced by American and Mexican cultures and its large Hispanic population.
