Built-in 1957, the Himalayan Nyinmpa Buddhist temple is a two-story temple locates near the Mall road. 2. Tsering Jong Monastery

Founded by Jigme Lingpa between 1729 and 1798, Tsering Jong Monastery is located on Bir Colouny Road. 3. Bhumang Jampaling Monastery


The monastery was initiated in 2010. The land at which the temple stands was bought by the Nangqen Tibetians when they decided to raise money to buy land in 1999 to support Rinpoche who protected the valuable teachings of buddha and locally spread his teachings. It has three golden statues; Buddha, Gyalwang Kunga Rinchen, and Drikung Kagyu. It’s interior is amazing. The walls are not painted but the ceiling painting exhibits a snow lion, an elephant, peacocks, tigers, and dragons. It is a beautiful attractive place for meditation and peace.

4. Zabsang Choekhorling Monastery


The Zabsang Choekhorling monastery which means “World of Profound Dharma Wheel” was inaugurated on 28th April 2014 by His Holiness The Fourteen Dalai Lama. It is situated on a site that offers complete geomancy and beautiful view, densely forested foothills of the Himalayas, with snowcapped mountains in the background. The monastery is a Dharma center for the youth to learn and practice on the profound terma teachings by Terchen Nyima Drakpa also known as the great treasure finder.

5. Dechen Choekhor Buddhist Monastry


Located at Gonngar country, Tibet, Dechen Choekhor Buddhist Monastry was constructed with the intention of preserving and promoting the culture and tradition of Tibet and the teachings of Lord Buddha. This Buddhist monastery has held its lineage intact and unbroken through their perseverance and diligence.
