Nestled in a small street close to the larger Rua de Cedofeita, Mao Travessa is a small and charming restaurant with an open kitchen serving a wide variety of crepes, tapas, and a few salads. The staff is very friendly and speak several languages, helping tourists to find their way through the extensive menu. The selection of wine is very large as well and covers local and international wines. We highly recommend the crepes, a pure delight to your taste buds! 2. Cafeina
Cafeina serves an “International type of cuisine with Portuguese roots and some trace of French and Italian influence.” Be ready to taste fusion dishes and local specialties revisited by the chefs of this elegant place. 4. Adega Do Conde
Nestled in a narrow street close to the Douro river, Adega Do Conde is a small and charming restaurant away from the touristic places closer to the river. Brace yourself for a slow and typically local service but the food is worth it! The menu changes every day depending on the supplies they receive.
Their tripas are the best! This dish is not for everyone but if you like tripe, you will love this restaurant! Their sardines are delicious as well and very big!

Do not expect a fancy place or an elegant seating at Bufete Fase. Despite its simple and basic decor, the restaurant is renowned by locals to serve the best Francesinha in town.
