4. Perugia, Italy and the Eurochocolate Festival
The Eurochocolate Festival held in Perugia is a chocaholic’s dream, held each year from mid- to late October. The event was first held in 1994 and due to the number of chocolate fans, Eurochocolate continues with haste. In the narrow, cobble-stoned streets of Perugia, dozens of small shops and carts peddle the best in chocolate, while chocolate-related music plays from speakers along the way. Every type of chocolate dessert, hot chocolate, chocolate liquors and, surprisingly, even chocolate kebabs can be found here. One of the most popular items at the festival is the Baci made by the Perugina chocolate factory but there is a range of international sweets on offer as well.

Amsterdam is a cultural city with many museums, art galleries and theaters. The city is also a great place to party. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is a festival and conference held each year, covering all electronic sub-genres of music with around 1,000 music events held in just under 200 venues over the course of the festival. More than 2,500 artists perform in 140 nightlife and music venues in Amsterdam itself and this year the event attracted more than 400,000 visitors from 146 different countries. This makes it the largest club festival in the world. While dancing and partying is done at night, daytime sees relevant exhibitions, documentaries and films, as well as studio sessions.

The quaint town of Conwy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, set in beautiful surroundings. Starting back in 2004, each year in October, the town puts on the Gwledd Conwy Feast on the quayside in Conwy, next to the medieval castle of the town. This is one of the biggest festivals in Wales and includes lots of art, food and musical concerts. Food and drink are offered in the form of street food, a food market, food halls, demonstration cooking, and beer and wine tasting events. Arts and crafts are on sale in the Maker’s Market, where textiles, jewelry, paintings, and handicrafts can be purchased.
7. Pitlochry, Scotland, United Kingdom and The Enchanted Forest
This magical event is held each year in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire, Scotland and has been running for 18 years.
