Here, you’ll find numerous restaurants serving up authentic Indian cuisines and western delicacies. Plus, there are mid-range to high-price shops touting local, national and international brands. Angakar roti is a must-try delicacy when in Raipur. In fact, Raipur is directly associated with this local delicacy. When you ask locals which food they would recommend you to try, angakar roti ranks first. So, what makes this food so special? This flatbread is made primarily of rice flour and is made in a traditional stove (chulha). The ingredients are so simple that you will be amazed by the flavors you taste when you take a bite. 4. Largest Statue of Swami Vivekananda

Indian statues usually symbolize religious deities and popular figures. Raipur is home to the world’s largest statue of Swami Vivekananda ,who was the pioneer of the Ramakrishna Mission. At 37 ft (11.3 m), the bronze statue is standing in the midst of Vivekanand Sarovar. It is surrounded by a lake and tall trees. The statue’s purpose is to spread Vivekananda’s philosophy, which is the “potential divinity of the soul.“

The vibrancy of the colorful buildings around the Raipur Marine Drive is intensified by the tranquility of the adjacent Telibandha lake. The Marine Drive is located in the heart of Raipur. A walk along the pavement during sunset is an ideal activity to do here. At night, it is lit up in different colors. One of the major highlights of this place is the graffiti walls near the lakeside. Also, a part of the Marine Drive operates as an open-air art gallery, where you can peruse the artworks created by local artists. Because of its location, nearby restaurants can be reached on foot. Food stalls are also available here. To gather more and more visitors each year, the government’s tourism board has greatly improved the area by adding amenities for everyone to enjoy, such as wifi connectivity and comfort rooms. There are a lot of wonderful things to do in Raipur, so yes, booking a trip here is worth it.
