Savannah is best known as the birthplace of the Girl Scouts’ founder. It is aptly called ‘Hostess City of the South’ for its hospitality and 'Forest City’ due to the enormous population and variety of oak trees. For food fanatics, it is a must to try their specialties: shrimp and grits, Chatham Artillery punch and freshly made pralines. When in Savannah, Georgia, it is always easy to combine your getaway with your love for nature. With an astonishing coastal area, white and fine sand beaches, estuaries rich with wildlife, boggy creeks, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to the number of activities you can do within the area.
