1. Unique carriage house (from USD 120)
Spread out over one-quarter of an acre (0.1 hectares), the carriage house is part of this large colonial revival house that was built in 1914. Tucked behind the colonial house, the carriage cabin, which has now been turned into an urban cabin, is shaded by tall water oaks and adds to the romanticism of the place.
From the moment you enter inside through the red door, you are going to love this small private retreat. Its eye-catching decor will surely pique your interest as it did mine. In addition to the basic big windows, warm couch, and comfy bed, the cabin has many beautiful and unique touches. Decked out with modern elements that are mixed with vintage pieces, the home ensures that the experience of staying here will be etched in your memory forever.
Making it one of the most perfect Savannah vacation rentals for a romantic holiday or a solo break is that the cabin is its proximity to Forsyth Park, which is home to one of the best fountains in the city. Enjoy your long runs in the park, sit on the porch, and be awed by the Camellia trees, or stay inside this cozy dwelling and watch the squirrels and mice chasing each other in the mornings from the big window. No matter what you do, you will feel at home.
We adored staying at Richard’s carriage house during our first trip to Savannah. It is exactly as shown and more. I loved the little touches here and there, including several books about Savannah or by Savannah authors, playing cards and games, sparkling water and a bar of chocolate in the kitchen, and a fun CD collection to listen to which made us both reminisce about the time when burning CDs was all the rage. The house was about 15-20 minutes walk to downtown Savannah and we enjoyed taking different streets up and back every time so we could see as much of the city as possible. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom accommodations were great so long as you are comfortable with your partner. I’d come back here in a heartbeat. Paula
Feel like doing some cooking? The cabin has a cute and fully equipped kitchen that allows you to make that one simple recipe you always wanted to. So cook and then dine at the cozy dining table by the window while looking at your private garden. And, when you are done, go for a walk by the river or take the bikes from the porch along for a scenic bike ride.

2. Historic home with a view of Owens-Thomas House (from USD 244)
Right in the heart of the downtown area, this is one of the best apartments in Savannah that provides easy access to all the popular sites of this southern city. Even Tybee Island is just 20 minutes away from this 1924 historic Graham Building.
The space appears cheerful and fun from the moment you enter. With a funky 1920s vibe, the flat has a charming eclectic decor. The living room opens up to a splendid balcony with the most fascinating views of buildings that have their own character. And yes, there’s lots of sunlight too. A stylish coffee table with a metallic glint and a plush rug surrounded by splashes of colors only add to the ambiance.
The private balcony overlooking both Oglethorpe Square and the famous Owens-Thomas House, which is one of the best things to do in Savannah, is the star of the apartment. Perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and cakes, it also makes you look forward to the day. And don’t miss evening cocktails as watch horse carriages passing by while you devour your drink, right from your own personal space.
The bedroom is a reflection of the living room with an eclectic mix of modern furnishings and an old-world charm. The way the host has added colors and their favorite accessories, ranging from family antiques to modern art and travel treasures, makes it even more personal and warm. Wouldn’t you love to sink into that bed after a long day of attraction hopping?
Dencie’s apartment is charming and perfectly situated for exploring beautiful historic downtown Savannah. Everything is in walking distance. Thoughtful touches (basic breakfast supplies, some wine) personalized our welcome. A multi-day parking pass from the City of Savannah can save money. Dencie has done a great job maximizing the space efficiently and with flair. Loved the well-equipped and organized kitchen, and sitting on the balcony over-looking the square. This apartment was perfect for 3 women on our girls’ get-away trip! Sandy

3. Modern home with tall ceilings (from USD 135)
Located in a historic building dating back to 1888, this modern home is close to several trendy coffee shops, bars, and restaurants in Savannah. Plus, you’ll also be greeted with complimentary snacks and water on your arrival. Since I travel frequently, these little niceties are quite nice to find after a long journey.
The high 10-ft (3.05-m) ceilings are the highlight of this home. The open-plan kitchen and dining area flow beautifully into the luxe living area. Two well-appointed bedrooms and a trendy bathroom complete the interior of this home. You will also have access to an outdoor deck with rocking chairs. The apartment is located upstairs and has its own entrance, so your privacy is assured. However, it’s important to note that the hosts don’t accept bookings from guests who live in Savannah or the surrounding areas.

4. Luxurious condo in a 19th-century building (from USD 345)
Housed in a building from the 1840s, this luxurious condo is perfect for the discerning traveler. High ceilings, original brickwork, and other period features are retained in this renovated property, which the archaeological journalist in me finds intriguing. Enjoy the open-plan layout of the well-appointed living area and contemporary kitchen that has a breakfast bar too. Two bright and spacious bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms are also available here.
Several cafes, restaurants, and attractions of the city are located within walking distance from this Airbnb along Savannah River. If you’re interested in historical landmarks, stroll along Factor’s Walk to see some of the city’s past. Planning to drive around? Bring your own vehicle and use the free parking space.

5. Contemporary apartment in a Victorian house (from USD 129)
Perfect for a romantic getaway in Savannah, this apartment beautifully blends modern aesthetics with historic charm. It is set in a Victorian house from the late 19th century and is bright, spacious and very elegant. Gorgeous bay windows let in the natural light in the chic living room that has an exposed brick wall too. Other amenities here include a modern kitchen, a king-size bed, a stylish bathroom, and a lovely dining area. Parking is also available out front, however, the hosts highly recommend walking or renting a bicycle for the best experience.
Forsyth Park is just steps away from this beautiful property, and hosts festivals frequently and a farmer’s market every Saturday. If city delights are what you prefer, you can also head to its downtown area, which is 15 minutes away on foot.

Guests staying here will have access to a courtyard, a fire pit, a screened-in porch, and more. The interior of the townhouse is chic too, with exposed brick walls, multiple fireplaces, contemporary furnishings and fittings, and modern appliances. Do note that the fireplaces are not functional.

11. Cottage that was a filming location of a Redford movie (from USD 214)
How cool and fun it is to tell your friends and family that you stayed in a cottage built in 1799? And, that it had a postwar movie (The Conspirator), made by Robert Redford, shot in there. More? It is also a favorite with local ghost tours in Savannah. Experience it for yourself and it will be even cooler.
Over 1,000 square feet (92.9 square meters) of unique charm, this centuries-old cottage is a refreshing break from the monotony of day-to-day lives and modern houses. Coming back to this quaint home after a day of sightseeing would freshen you up in a short time. Make some popcorn and go through the stack of DVDs on a lazy afternoon. Make sure you watch the movie and spot the places you have already seen. The house has also been on the Savannah Tour of Homes. If you take tours of nearby historic homes, you’ll learn more about things that you can see in the construction of this cottage.
Our stay at Laura’s Cottage was pure joy. We loved seeing the 200 year old carpentry, walking with bare feet those old pine floors and imagining the people that have gone before. The beds were very comfy, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the cottage was organized so that all our needs were met. The location made it easy for us to explore all the wonderful Savannah sights. Donna
Cook up some hot stew and dumplings and enjoy your meal here in this charming corner. We bet you would feel like you have been transported to another era. Having a violin play in the background would add more to the amazing vibes.
The cottage is wonderfully decorated with antiques and the host adds lovely touches to it by keeping fresh flowers in every room, and providing plenty of fresh linens and some goodies. The downstairs part makes a perfect place for lounging on the day bed or a comfortable couch with your favorite book. You can replace the book with a laptop if you love writing blogs. If you don’t, you have countless reasons to write one after staying here.

12. Historic district townhouse (from 150 USD)
Located in the historic district of the city, which looks like it’s right out of a fairy tale in itself, this Airbnb is one of the most gorgeous houses for rent in Savannah. Enjoy the ethereal and romantic walks under the natural archways during your stay here.
Who doesn’t love swings? Especially ones on the front porch. Watch the world go by while you relax and soak up the gorgeous vistas. You will definitely see the logic behind those poems and songs that wax lyrical about the magic powers of a front porch swing once you have your own moments here.
My friend and I decided to do a girls weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Sybil was an absolutely wonderful host. She was kind, attentive, gracious and extremely helpful since before we arrived at her beautiful home. We loved spending time with her and Luke. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and felt like a home away from home. Definitely a great dose of southern hospitality! Carolina
Cherish your lazy afternoons and chatty evenings in this stately living room. Festooned with a large stone fireplace, full-height windows, gorgeous colors, and antique furnishings, this mansion-like living space is a delight. With so much light from all directions, this dining space must have seen wonderful winters and peaceful falls. The hardwood floors, white windows, and a cozy table in the middle radiate warmth and make a very welcoming place.
You are going to absolutely love this back porch with its super comfy couch, lush carpet, and stunning greenery all around. There is a television as well, but you have enough to keep you engrossed already, don’t you?
This quaint little bedroom oozes charm with its spectacular furnishings, checkered curtains, and dreamy bed. This looks like it is straight out of some old romantic blockbuster. It’s a classic Southern beauty in every way!
The only thing that can make you leave the bedroom that exudes romance is this delightful small deck off the master suite. Up for some lounging? Grab a drink and soak in the sun as you soak up the views.

13. Adorable marine-themed cottage with close proximity to everything (from 164 USD)
Mariner’s Cottage is a charming and welcoming retreat within Savannah’s moss-draped Landmark Historic District. This is one of the best-suited rentals in Savannah, GA for family vacations. And the most amazing part about this newly restored abode is the location. It allows you to walk to almost anywhere and everywhere in Savannah.
Prettily decorated in calming blues, grays, and warm tones, the house makes for a perfect retreat after an adventurous day of exploration. And yes, you get to explore a lot while staying here. The cottage is only about a mile (1.6 kilometers) from town and you can see historic homes, the cemetery, and several squares on the way.
That little nook with a vintage wooden writing desk makes a cozy spot for your journaling. There is something about a writing desk that puts you instantly in the mood. So, make a hot cup of whatever you like and find your calling in this intimate corner. This is a cute little library of sorts in the twin bedroom for book-lovers. Take a book, leave a book!
Done in a homey style, the bedroom is as relaxing as the rest of the house. Thoughtfully furnished with local antiques and art, you will feel like you stepped inside a magazine. The door from the kitchen leads to your private and shielded screened-in porch. It’s a great place to start your day with some fabulous coffee and a peaceful atmosphere. Rain or shine, nobody is going to take that moment away from you!
Mariner’s cottage was not only adorably decorated and super well appointed (the washer/dryer were so appreciated as it gave us a chance to do laundry during our 2 week road trip), it was also truly walkable to EVERYTHING Savannah. The only reason we drove at all was to visit Tybee Island. The parking space fits 2 cars which was also so convenient. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in the heart of Savannah! Katie
Offering very honest and warm vibes, the cottage has an open plan in terms of architecture. The space flows from the welcoming living room to the dining area, which has a big rustic farm table. Family and friends can pitch in and a meal can be prepared in a happy festive way. The door in the kitchen also leads to a serene courtyard, complete with a cafe table and landscape lighting. Make sure to enjoy your evening glass of sweet tea or white wine outside.
