For our getaway to Shark Bay Campsites, we camped at three of the four coastal sites south of Denham that are dog-friendly. We almost missed this area altogether as we thought you could only stay in one of the campgrounds for 24 hours. However, the rules are just a bit confusing. So glad we found out before driving past this gorgeous area.
We camped at Whalebone Bay, Eagle Bluff, and Fowlers Camp. All were beautiful and perfect for a romantic date, and we were so glad to get the boat out each day. We had some luck spearfishing, but not so much line fishing.
You must get a permit ($15 p/n) by ringing up Shark Bay World Heritage Discovery & Visitor Info Centre.
