A walk in the park, what could be more romantic? This is only the first of several parks you might want to visit with your partner. Kensington Gardens was at one time part of Hyde Park and is now one of eight Royal Parks. The grounds cover 265 acres (107 hectares), which gives you plenty to explore. Walk out to the Serpentine Galleries where you can check out contemporary art and architecture or enjoy a walk through the recently renovated Italian Gardens, where you’ll find beautiful waterworks and sculptures.

Greenwich Park has plenty to offer its visitors, even beyond its beautiful greenery. Here, you and your loved one can stand on the Prime Meridian, the north/south diving line equivalent to the equator. There are several gardens within the park you’ll want to visit, including the Rose Garden and the Queen’s Orchard. Grab a bite to eat at the Pavilion Cafe or a warm cup of coffee at the Coffee Cabin.

6. Queen Mary's Gardens in Regent's Park
If you or your significant other is a lover of roses, Queen Mary’s Gardens, located in Regent’s Park, is simply not to be missed. Here, you’ll find London’s largest collection of roses, with some 12,000 individual plants to awe you. Stop and smell the roses, as there are plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy your surroundings. Also be sure to check out the Begonia Garden, which has approximately 9,000 flowers that are replanted and re-bedded twice a year.

7. Kynance Mews in Kensington
If you’re looking for a dramatically beautiful backdrop for some great photo ops, you’ll find few places better while in London than Kynance Mews. The street itself is residential, and a great place to walk with your loved one; however, the arches to get to the street is where you’ll want to snap a few pictures. The arches themselves are classified as Grade II on England’s National Heritage List and have wisteria blooming in a most catching way over the stones.

8. The London Eye

The London Eye stands tall 443 feet (135 meters) to be exact in the heart of the city. Take a ride in one of the capsules and enjoy the view of London offered from the top. There are several romantic packages available with private capsule rides for two people, including the Cupid’s Capsule Package, which features a bottle of champagne, truffles and priority boarding. There is also a package if you’d like to pop the big question with London as your backdrop; package features are similar to Cupid’s, though your host will secretly be the photographer that captures the entire proposal!

9. Little Venice
Located in the neighborhood near Grand Union Canal and the Regent’s Canal, you’ll find a cozy area known as Little Venice.
