As much as we at Trip101 love being on the go, sometimes it is also nice to slow down and smell the roses. Preferably with a stiff drink in hand and the cool breeze running through your hair. Boston might be best known for its Ivy League universities and clam chowder, but did you know that this New England town is also one of the oldest cities in the USA, with its founding being somewhere in the 17th century? But we digress, we are here with a Public Service Announcement: Boston has many amazing rooftop bars that will knock your socks off! You might not expect this, seeing that Boston does have a bit of a reputation as a chilly and rainy place but Bostonians have rallied admirably around this setback and come up with open-air bars that are definitely worth a repeat visit. And also because we believe in sharing good things, here is our list of top 10 rooftop bars in Boston, Massachusetts!

1. Cunard Tavern

Cunard Tavern is located on the historical pier of Jeffries Point, which used to be a main port of entry in the USA for those seeking the American Dream. Bearing in mind the nautical history that has spanned from the early 19th century till now, Cunard Tavern is part-museum, part-tavern as photos and maps from yonder year tastefully decorate its bare brick walls, telling the story of those who lived and worked in the area. The extensive menu is Modern American and craft beers galore that can be enjoyed on the roof deck. Open from May to September, the roof deck includes a rooftop bar and views of the historical Boston cityscape!
