The E11even bar will give guests the best views of downtown. This is a bar and lounge, but later on at night it becomes a full on Miami nightclub located right at the top of the building. DJ’s, dancing, and drinks guarantee that you’ll party your face off. E11even is a pretty popular place, so much so that you might even see a celebrity or two. Grab a drink and gaze out at downtown Miami and feel like royalty.

2. Sugar

High on top of the East Hotel is one the city’s best rooftop bars offering views far out across Biscayne Bay to the east and north to downtown. The Asian influence of Sugar is apparent through its decor as well as the Asian inspired drinks and food choices. A lush garden serves as a nice barrier between the building and lounge, so although you’ll be atop a tall building, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into a secret getaway. Their food is to die for and their drinks are delicious, so head on over to Sugar for a great night.

3. Pawn Broker

On top of the Langford Hotel is the Pawn Broker, rated one of Miami’s best new bars. At this spectacular location, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city from right in the middle of downtown. It’s a mix of upscale cocktail lounge and hipster foodie experience. Many of their drinks come in cool containers with interesting flavor combinations that you may not have experienced before. An example would be the “Giggle Water,” a gin based drink that’s foamed up and served in a tiny bathtub. Yep, you read that correctly.

Miami Tour Guide

Alexander Gorn

Alexander Gorn

I was born in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, in the Soviet Union, and left for the USA when I was 23 years old, just out of college. Leningrad was and still is a city with great cultural traditions. I fell in love with its world-famous museums, art galleries, theaters, and other attractions. I have been guiding tours for most of my life and began while still in high school. During the summer, Leningrad was visited by numerous youth groups from the UK and USA and English-speaking students were recruited to show them around. That is how I got my first taste of being a tour guide. I continued guiding through college and often worked with young adults. After leaving the USSR, I settled in New York City, went to graduate school, and started my own travel company in 1985. We primarily worked with international visitors showing them famous places of interest all over the country, from coast to coast. Though I had other tour guides working at my company, I continued to guide because it was rewarding and enjoyable. I traveled extensively throughout the country and that's how I first became acquainted with South Florida. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful place and eventually moved to the Miami Beach area. I love South Florida and want my tourists to feel the same way. I am exhilarated by its nature and history and I promise to get you excited as well. See you in Miami!

On a newly opened rooftop bar is the Voodoo Rooftop Lounge. Technically, it’s part of a restaurant as well, which means you will be able to get some grub if you’re feeling hungry after a few drinks. The rooftop bar also serves hookah if guests wish to partake in that, too. The Voodoo Rooftop Lounge features a cool mix of cocktails in a Polynesian themed atmosphere. Probably one of the lesser known rooftop bars in Miami is the regal Mayfair. Located on top of the elegant Mayfair Hotel, their cocktail bar gives guests a luxurious-casual vibe as they sip on fancy cocktails surrounded by the Miami skyline and sit by the rooftop pool.
