The Continental Midtown mimics another period of American history: the mid-century modern phase of the 20th century. The restaurant’s decor looks like it came straight out of Mad Men, with antique-looking furniture against a mod interior. The restaurant is spread over three top floors, one of the largest restaurants in the city, offering stunning views of the surroundings.
Though the atmosphere remembers the good old days, the menu is thoroughly contemporary, with a diverse assortment of offerings suitable to any palate. Menu items fuse traditional American food with international flavors, like the Szechuan shoestring fries, Korean pork tacos, and French onion soup dumplings. This pub has embraced the craft beer movement ever since it opened more than 20 years ago.
