Boise, Idaho’s capital, is not only world-famous for its potatoes, but it’s also a popular travel destination for its fast-rising metropolitan scene, rich in history and commerce. This high desert village located at the base of Idaho’s mountains serves as the center of economics, cultural events, healthcare, tourism, education, and retail industries. It is home to local and international corporations like Hewlett-Packard, Albertsons, and more. And if you visit the area, there are Vacasa vacation rentals that you can book for a homey stay, alongside themed hotels for a unique lodging experience.

It is unsurprising that Boise is also a shopping destination providing several opportunities for spending money and leisure time. The local galleries and stores are perfect for souvenir shopping. Big box stores and shopping malls that sell everything you need from apparel to appliances are aplenty here. Below is our list of the top shopping malls in Boise, Idaho.

Posted by Hawkins Companies LLC on Friday, May 9, 2014

Owned by Hawkins Companies, Franklin Towne Plaza is their prize project that is still serving the community for 30 years. Before it became the most prolific business center in Boise, it was a residential area for 72 single families. The area, a prime location, was transformed into the Franklin Towne Plaza after the residential lots were acquired, rezoned and converted into a huge retail space. This was the location of the first Costco in Idaho. After several years, Costco relinquished their space to give way to Cabela’s, the first in Idaho. This legacy project has set the foundation for Hawkins’ stellar future projects. So head down to this plaza for a shopping experience of a lifetime.
