Located right on the edge of downtown Bali in a neighborhood, you are walking distance or a short motorbike ride away from most attractions and downtown area. There is a private school up the street where you can watch the Balinese children play and learn how to balance items on their head. There is a local restaurant within a couple blocks from your room that makes Indonesian dishes such as Pepes Tuna (Tuna wrapped in banana leaf with spices). The cost to stay here ranges from 16.00 USD to 20.00 USD a night.

Getting around and services

Suastika Lodge - Ubud

You can rent a motorbike on premises, but if you’re a solo traveler and aren’t comfortable with riding a bike, the owners will be happy to drop you off to shows and pick you up. There really is no need for a motorbike if you’re fit and can walk a couple miles a day. Laundry services are available for 6,000 IDR (0.44 USD) per Kilogram. You can get your duds cleaned and will be returned nicely folded and wrapped in saran wrap. Hint: Get your laundry done a day before you leave to make packing easier. Laundry takes 24 hours as they use the sun to dry your clothes so keep that in mind when you order this service. The owners are also there to help you plan tours and can help you hire a private driver to take you to the rice fields and temples and schedule your cooking classes for you.
