Street Garden Hostel is a very home-like hostel that was established in 2013. The hostel is basically an old house that was built in 1919 in a quiet exclusive area, which is now a popular and touristy district in Viña del Mar. The purpose of this hostel is to create a home for travelers who seek to enjoy the city that is known as the Garden City. With the colorful fun house and the amazingly helpful service, Street Garden Hostel has pretty much fulfilled that purpose.
The hostel offers two kinds of rooms, double private rooms and dorm rooms, which consist of mixed and female dorms. The cost for a double private room is approximately 22 USD/night and the cost for dorms are approximately 15-17 USD/night. The hostel is also equipped with two shared bathrooms on the second floor and a kitchen for the guests. The kitchen is quite small but has everything such as a stove, two refrigerators, a microwave and many more.
