Escape daily pressures with silent reflection
From the gravel parking area, an archway invites you to begin your experience by leaving all technological devices behind. Cell phones must be off, or better yet, not even with you. No cameras or other electronics are permitted within the confines of the spa.
As you walk along the short path through the spruce and cedar trees to the entrance, you are encouraged to begin silent reflection by minimizing talking. Trickling streams and fountains provide a soothing ambiance. The 20,000 square foot outdoor spa welcomes guests to reflect, relax, and rejuvenate their soul while visiting a natural haven.
Knowledgeable staff provide recommendations to maximize benefits
Friendly and knowledgeable staff greet you at the entrance with subdued voices. They expertly schedule or confirm reservations for massages with one of their professional masseuses. Guests can also opt to only rejuvenate in the hydrotherapy pools.
The staff provides professional information about the order and duration of activities to gain the most health benefit for your visit – generally a rotation of warming the body for 10–15 minutes, followed by a refreshing rinse in cold water for 20–30 seconds, and quietly relaxing for 15 minutes. The sequence can be repeated as often as desired, but at least 3–4 times is recommended for maximum benefits. The rotation stimulates the body’s circulation and the release of endorphins to awaken the senses. A sense of well-being and rejuvenation fills your body, mind, and spirit.
Guests need to bring their own swimsuit but large terrycloth towels and a hooded bathrobe are provided at the reception desk with paid admission fees. Locks are also provided for guests to secure their belongings in the locker room.
The locker rooms are comfortable and spacious, with areas for privacy if wanted. Showers with soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided as are hair dryers, mirrors, and styling areas. The locker room leads directly outside to the massage pavilion and the pools.
An ideal visit - a massage followed by the pools
Professional masseuses provide traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue, Thai yoga, or a number of other massage options for guests. Guests are invited to relax and enjoy the spectacular view while awaiting their appointment time. Massages are provided in softly-lit rooms with soothing instrumental music playing quietly in the background and tailored to individual needs.
The Nordic bath pools are designed to cleanse the skin, enhance physical condition, and promote a sense of well-being that is more than skin deep. Alternating between the hot and cold pools stimulates circulation while the eucalyptus steam room warms the body, clears the head, and relaxes the muscles. After a few minutes melting in the steam, move next door to the silent room lined with comfortable reclining chairs. Curl up in your terry robe, meditate or read a good book while continuing to quietly reflect on the beautiful mountain view, improving your health, or clearing your mind. Guests determine how long they relax and rejuvenate in this Nordic-inspired oasis of calm.
Following a 60 minute Swedish massage, one would relax even further with the recommended rotation. Promising rejuvenation, the Scandinave Spa provides a great escape – periodically or regularly.
Massage and bath packages begin at 148 CAD (106.67 USD). Bath only experiences begin at 58 CAD (41.80 USD). Guests must be at least 19 years of age.
The ultimate refreshing experience
Scandinave Spa offers a space of well-being where you can relax in the heart of nature. Breath in the exhilarating mountain air while invigorating and cleansing your body, mind and soul.
