The VGP Universal Kingdom emerged as a fully equipped amusement park in the year 1997. It is located on the East Coast Road, at the State Highway 9 along the coast of Tamilnadu, India. Prior to 1997, the park used to be a small one with few small rides. Right now, it is a full-fledged amusement park with rides for children and adults. The first snow park of this region is on the campus, as well as the famous rides like water cascades, paneer fort, VGP 2000 millennium tower, etc. A full day can be spent over here, as the facility of food and drinks are available inside the park.

The charming theme park is located near the Vandalur Railway station, just half an hour from the main city of Chennai. The amusement park was created by Navodaya Appachan, an Indian Film Industry producer and director. The area is named after a famous place from the Indian epic, Ramayana. The park is located a bit outside of the main city of Chennai. Established in the year 2003, this park is spread over 70 acres (28 hectares). It is based on Chennai-Bangalore Trunk road, very well-connected from the Chennai city. The park has a specific entry fee, all rides are free after you have entered there. Altogether 51 rides are present in this park, 18 of them are specially designed for the kids. Foods are available inside the park, making it convenient for a day trip.

The water park is the part of VGP Universal Kingdom, based on East Coast Road. The aqua world was designed by Australian architect Steve Sanderson.
