The House of the Century is one of the most iconic landmarks in Angleton. It is a model of what perceives to be a house in the future. This landmark is a brainchild of Doug Michaels, Chip Lord, and architect Richard Jost. It is a lakeside retreat with unique exterior design. It has a kitchen, stacked bedrooms, a living space, and other typical amenities of a house. Unfortunately, it’s been destroyed by flood in the mid-1980s. All that’s left of it at the present time is its semi-ruined state.
