This beautiful museum, located on the outskirts of the city is easily accessible by public transport including a bus. It is a small and very clean private museum that leaves you with an enriching feeling. The exhibition of ancestral and popular Latin American art from the 18th century and surprising samples from present-day art are incredible. The museum that showcases the artistic history of the country, is well-organized and maintained by dedicated staff. The diverse collection includes utensils, textiles like cotton and silk, paintings, masks, holy images, mud, canvas wood, native art, and aboriginal costumes. Also known as the clay museum, this creative place has unique pieces of indigenous art. There are little descriptions of exhibits but no guides are available. They offer crafts and books about Paraguay for sale in a shop attached to the gallery.
