The peaceful Blaine Marine Park is another splendid area to soak up the beautiful scenery and enjoy some seaside recreation. This waterfront park looks across Boundary Bay and Semiahmoo Bay, and provides great opportunities for activities like fishing, beach-combing, and kayaking. The park is also excellent for bird-watching and includes water-side shelters that are perfect for the activity. In fact, the park is a venue for the city’s annual “Wings over Water” festival! In addition to the wonderful boardwalks and picnic benches, the park also includes a nautical-themed playground and an outdoor amphitheater.

12. Take a cruise on the Historic Plover Ferry
Admire the beauty of the Pacific Northwest coastline aboard this historic vessel! The Historic Plover Ferry was built in 1944 to carry cannery workers to the APA Salmon Cannery, and the vessel is the state’s oldest operating foot passenger ferry. Today, the ferry has been restored and re-purposed into a sightseeing vessel that carries visitors across Drayton Harbor from Semiahmoo Spit and the Blaine Harbor Marina. Enjoy wonderful views of British Columbia’s Coast Mountains and keep your eyes open for a glimpse of soaring eagles and playful seals as you cross the bay!
