1. Relax at Shannon Springs Park

Home to the ever-popular Festival of Lights, Shannon Springs Park is one of the major landmarks in town. It is a 43-acre (17.40 hectare) park that features a very large lake where everyone is free to fish. There’s also a native sandstone caretaker’s cottage, a bathhouse, a park warehouse, and a large amphitheater available inside the park. In the 1800s, the park was home to the Shannon Springs artesian well, which was used as a watering hole for the Chisholm Trail.

Aside from that, they also serve sumptuous dishes to complement your drinks. It was known to be a smoking bar before, but in 2018, the management decided to go smokefree.

5. Explore Chickasha's railroad history at Rock Island Depot

Chickasha was known to be one of the centers of railroads and depots in the 1900s. In fact, these railroads and train depots contributed to the town’s bustling economy and growth as we know today. One of the most historic train depots in town is the Rock Island Depot that was constructed in 1910. Located on a dairy farm that is already 100 years old, the Muscle Car Ranch and RV Park features several barns and wide-open spaces spread across the 62-acre (25-hectare) land. There is a museum that features neon and porcelain signs, open-air exhibitions of rare and antique muscle cars and bikes, and arts and memorabilia related to cars and automotive. You can also spend the night at the Muscle Car Ranch and RV Park as it comes equipped with unlimited electric hookups, shower houses, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and even fishing.

Formerly known as Cottonwood Creek Gold Club, the country club features a nine-hole golf course, a driving range, a putting green, pro-shop, and around 3,171 yards (2.9 kilometers) of lush, green grass. The golf course was designed by Woody Kerr and it has been open to the public since 1915. It is also home to the longest-running golf tournament in the whole of Oklahoma, that has been running for 90 years already.
