2. Disconnect from technology to go camping at Sowell Creek Park

Located along the Proctor Lake, Sowell Creek Park is an outdoor sanctuary for campers and nature lovers. It’s the perfect place for anyone who wishes to disconnect from technology, quite literally, because the signal is very weak in the area. Expect few trees as well. The usual activities are camping, fishing and swimming in the lake. There are often very few people so you’ll also have an added level of privacy. Best to grab a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenic views of Proctor Lake.

What originally started as an interest in the fruity smell of fountain drinks that one pharmacist from Waco, Texas discovered eventually became a worldwide phenomenon that we know now as Dr. Pepper. Dublin Bottling Works then became the first facility to bottle Dr. Pepper drinks. Not to be confused with the Waco Dr. Pepper Museum, the Dublin Bottling Works Museum shows the process of how the sodas are made from pure cane sugar and bottled to perfection.
