This museum in Fenton was built in the early 1900s and it was donated by the AJ Philips heirs in 1906. The building is now owned by the city and this extensive museum has been divided into various sections based on themes. The Victorian Room in the museum shows an exact depiction of AJ Philips’s office. The historical society also has an area of the museum where the name of every Fenton graduate since 1869, is mentioned. You can find a display of many vintage clothes, tools, and early Fenton newspapers dating back to the mid-1800s. One of the prime areas of the museum also displays war items of the Civil War and Spanish American War. Many of the things displayed in the museum came through John Cox, an auctioneer who used to acquire many pieces on behalf of the Historical Society.
