It is believed that the series of caves were first used by the Ute Indians for rituals and healings, and though none of such takes place at the moment, it is a destination you must not miss when you come to Glenwood Springs. Deep underground the caves, there are subterranean chambers that supply the mineral-rich therapeutic steam that visitors travel from far and wide to come and enjoy. Before accessing the caves, you will have to go through a series of staircases and partitions leading to three rooms lined with marble benches. Sit, relax and inhale the heaving vapors from the breadths of the earth.
