6. Admire the beauty of Kristaps Morberg’s Botanical Garden and Summer Cottage

Constructed by Latvian entrepreneur, Kristaps Morbergs, this Neo-Gothic wooden cottage is an exemplary piece of architecture. Though the construction was completed in 1883, it wasn’t until 1914 that the house was widened and improved. This property was later bestowed to the University of Latvia. From 2007 to 2008, the property underwent another renovation with the majority of the works going into its interior.
