Known as the first museum in the country to feature marine life exhibits, Labuan Marine Museum aims to give its visitors an educational experience. The two-story museum boasts naval ship-inspired interiors and showcases several exhibits, from shipwrecks to local marine species. There are 14 aquariums as well as a touch pool, where visitors can admire sharks, stingrays, and king crabs. Here, you can also find a 42-foot (12.8-meter) skeleton of an Indian Fin whale which is the gallery’s centerpiece.

6. Visit Surrender Point, a WWII landmark
Located just beside Peace Park, Surrender Point is a major tourist attraction in Labuan, found about 15 minutes drive from Labuan state center. It is where the Japanese army resolved to surrender and end the war between them and the Malaysian army in World War II. It is a perfectly built memorial with several educational monuments. The cemetery where they laid the fallen warriors is located closeby. Get to learn about the war and what it took for it to end. 7. Visit the birds at Labuan Bird Park
Labuan Bird Park is located 9 miles (15km) from Labuan City Centre. Take a taxi or a bus for about 20 minutes to the park. As its name states, the park is home to over 580 birds. Cockatoos, ostriches, and peacocks are among the birds who call the park home. Tour around the park for an entertaining and educative experience. Peace Park was built in celebration of those who lost their lives during World War II. It is located at Lanyang-Lanyangan village, Labuan Island. 11. Visit Masjid Jamek An-Nur
Masjid Jamek An-Nur is the only mosque in Labuan. It is a walking distance or you can take a taxi from town. You will be amazed by the beautiful architectural structure of the building. 12. Learn about the mysteries of chimney tower at Chimney Museum, Labuan
Chimney Museum is located at Kubong, Labuan, in Malaysia. Get to explore what used to be a coal mining area. It is a two-story building with the first floor taking you through the history of Labuan as the largest coal mining area.
