Hop onboard your boat with your rubber boots and pail of bait to prepare yourself for a fishing excursion. Upon arrival at your favorite fishing spot, get your gear ready and prepare to cast your line in search of large bass to reel in. Take your family out in June to participate in the community sponsored Free Family Fishing Day Tournament & Festival where anglers with the largest catch will be honored on the park’s stage. Every Friday, after enjoying a day out on the water, fishermen can join other parkgoers in indulging in pizza, burgers, bbq, and ice cream served by local food trucks for Foodie Fridays. This would be a wonderful way to end a fun-filled day on the water.

2. Stop by historic Blair's Ferry Storehouse

Posted by Jennifer Dawn McGinnis on Monday, 15 May 2017

Visitors to Loudon may stop by the historic brick building once used as a storehouse during the riverboat trade in the 1830s, however, please note and be respectful of the “No Trespassing” sign. Located on the west bank of the Tennessee River, the storehouse has had many reincarnations over the centuries. After the Civil War, John West purchased it to use as a general store and after that, it was used as a dance hall, packing house, and a church. During the 1900s, it served as a grocery store and as a block of residential apartments up until the 1980s.
