Located about 18 km (11 mi) away from downtown Los Angeles (LA), Pico Rivera is a mishmash of glamour that LA exudes and the fascinating palm tree-lined boulevards that California boasts. The city is fairly new on the block, having formed about as recently as 1958, and is a relatively popular spot for those looking to explore the many star-studded spoils of the Los Angeles County. While there are lots to see around the town, Pico Rivera’s attractions are humble and ideal for both solo travelers and families. Check out the best things to do in Pico Rivera, California, and buy yourself an awesome time!

Pico Rivera History & Heritage is a small community museum that does a great job of taking you through the humble history of this new town on the block. With its many artifacts, old literature, and paintings, the museum takes you back to the times when the city was not even officially founded and was inhabited by Native Americans, followed by the Spanish and Mexican populace. The docents here do a nice job of quelling your curiosity by happily (and proudly!) providing any extra information, so don’t miss!
