Opened in September 1999, Port Lincoln Railway Museum is an attraction in the city of Port Lincoln that tells the history of its railway network. It played a big role in commerce and trade during the time when products needed to be delivered to and from Port Adelaide. The fascinating museum nests in the South Australian Railways administrative building. It features vintage displays, from old photographs to official documents. 10. Explore Mill Cottage Museum

The Mills Cottage Museum is in the beautiful Flinders Park, and it is a cradle of history for Port Lincoln. The cottage was built in 1866 by Joseph K Bishop – a British captain who commanded the very first ships to the port in 1839. The museum currently is the home to Bishop’s family artifacts, including the items they came with from England as well as those that were on the sailing ship they arrived in – The Dorset. Also present are several watercolors of stunning sceneries of the Lower Eyre Peninsula done by Amy Bishop.
