To get to this hidden gem, you will have to trek 2.5 miles (4 km) along a moderately steep path - and in Protaras’ temperate climate, no less. However, the climb will be worth it, as the church itself is filled with beautiful images of saints. You can take your time here and admire the images. If you are religious, you could also stop and say a quiet prayer at this very serene place of worship. Many of its visitors say that they even begin to feel emotional upon seeing the images of the saints. Whether or not you are a practicing Catholic, Agioi Saranta Cave Church is truly a sight to behold in Protaras.
