Tagaytay City is probably the first local holiday destination that comes to mind when people from Metro Manila think of where to go for rest and relaxation. However, they might not know there is one place a bit closer where they can restore their senses, and that is Silang, Cavite.
1. Cleanse your diet by eating organic food
Posted by Gourmet Farms, Inc. on Sunday, 11 December 2016
Gourmet Farms, one of the first organic vegetable farms in the country, offers consumers a wide variety of vegetables and herbs, including but not limited to lettuce, rosemary, thyme, parsley, and tarragon, all of which are grown in the 11.5-hectare (28.4-acre) land. However, it is not just a purveyor of goods. The land is open for eco-tourism, with visitors not only able to tour around the property but also learn about the different ways that they themselves can grow their own organic produce. Visitors can also take lessons in cooking, salad making, and recycling.
Gourmet Farms has its own restaurant, so you will actually be able to taste for yourself the goodness of organically-grown food.

Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm: Another landmark to visit while in Tagaytay City. Aside the farm tour, they also have a store...
Posted by Priceless Travel on Tuesday, 26 November 2013
Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm is a haven for those who love natural remedies, all of which are organic, and most honey-based. Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm cultivates Italian honeybees, which are known for choosing the ripest pollen in flowers.
Like Gourmet Farms, Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm supports eco-tourism. Guests can explore the bee farm and learn more about bee products and their health benefits.
Please note that strict rules are enforced in the farm itself to make sure that the bees are not disturbed. As such, it might not be a good idea to bring children if they are not old and well-disciplined enough to observe the regulations in the venue, as they might run the risk of getting stung.
