A Sundial = climbing

Posted by David Spriggs on Sunday, 30 September 2012

Located in Bicentennial Park is a horizontal sundial in the middle of the park. A sundial is a simple timekeeping device in which the shadow cast by a vertical pole or plate (the gnomon) is used to indicate the time of day. Check out one of the ways time used to be known back then before clocks were invented. This sundial is best viewed in the afternoons when the sun is high up and shining in the sky. It’s lovely, unique, and quite artistic.
