8. See historical relics at Muzeu Historik
AlthoughMuzeu Historik, constructed in 1918, was meant to be a hostel for Italian soldiers, it never served that purpose. It was initially the War Museum and is currently a historical-archaeological institution. It is housed in two separate levels and sections — the Pavioni i Arkeologjisë on the first floor and Pavioni i Historisë on the second. This initiative was conceived after Albania’s democracy. On the first level, you will find tools, dating back to the Neolithic period, including tombstones inscriptions, written in different languages, iron weapons, bronze, and knives. The second level features facts and displays from independence, such as photographs, posters, and military relics from WWII. Don’t miss this historical tour.
