Lamai Beach is the second most popular beach on the island of Samui, after Chaweng. This means it has plenty of sights and activities that attract tourists, so there will not be a shortage of things to do here. However, since it is not as touristy as Chaweng, there are fewer people, so you can enjoy all that Lamai has to offer, without the frenzy and noise that sometimes accompanies large tourist crowds.
1. Lamai Overlap Stone
Overlap Stone is an enormous boulder, located on a mountain, and sits 150 meters (492.1 feet) above sea level. Reaching the stone requires a decent amount of athleticism, to make the rough and rugged climb, so many visitors bike or drive most of the way. The last part of the path leading to the stone must be walked, as it is too steep to drive or bike. This walk usually takes 20 to 30 minutes but it is worth it. Not only is the view of Lamai Bay spectacular, but you have the opportunity to admire nature in its raw, rough, unmanicured, and entirely natural state.
