Free for entry 365 days a year, there are even free, guided 1-hour tours where you can join in to learn more about the landscape design, its history, and selected sculptures while walking around the site. Pier 66, a port of Seattle, is also part of Belltown. A 10-minute walk will land you in the neighborhood of Pike Place Market where Waterfront Park, Seattle Aquarium, and Seattle Great Wheel are located. Seattle Art Museum is a five-minute walk from the Ferris wheel. Benaroya Hall, a state-of-the-art music venue, is positioned right beside the museum. Explore the whole of Lower Queen Anne
Apart from the Space Needle and Pacific Science Center in the Lower Queen Anne district, there are actually other attractions worth a sight in the surrounding area. Start at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center where they urge you to arrive curious and leave inspired. There are different programs and exhibits all year round and you can even join in a free public tour. After you’re done with the tour, walk over to Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, an impressive venue made of steel and glass and home to the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera. Check their website for upcoming events and maybe score yourself a great deal online if you’re planning to catch a performance with a group. Once you exit the venue, you will be able to spot Seattle Center and the International Fountain. Then, reward yourself with some fresh shellfish and craft brews at Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar.
