Lovingly called Canada’s Birthplace, Charlottetown is mostly known as the site of the 1864 Charlottetown Conference which led to the unification of Canada as a nation. This charming seaside city, also known as the capital of Prince Edward Island, takes pride in its past and vital role in national history. Nestled on Hillsborough Bay, an arm of Northumberland Strait, Charlottetown rakes in many visitors not only for its rich heritage but also for its relatively mild climate. Although the city has been urbanized since the days of its first major railway hotel during the 1930’s, much of its past can still be seen in its plethora of colonial-era structures. Never falling behind when it comes to cultural events, Charlottetown is home to the Confederation Centre of the Arts which houses an art gallery, theatre, and a library-museum. It’s also the focus of the summer festival, one of the city’s most anticipated events. Charlottetown is home to more than 36,000 residents, and yet it still retains that warm seaside ambience. Wrapped in a welcoming “small town” vibe with a distinct Canadian flair, it’s no surprise that it’s not only the Canadians who can see this historic city’s appeal. Furthermore, just less than an hours’ drive northward, you’ll find more things to do in Prince Edward Island. If you wish to experience the charm of Charlottetown for yourself, here are some of the top Airbnb vacation rentals in Charlottetown, Canada, to get you started.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities.
