Not just Dol but St Malo and Mont St Michel are also a vacationer’s delight. Hop on a bus or steer your car and tour the famous Mont St Michel. Uniquely rising out of the sea like an enchanted island, it is very much an icon of Western France. Soak in the crisp air and enjoy a stunning vista of the coastline from the Bela du Mont St Michel or discover the exceptional Abbey church. We hear that the town’s a life-like version of Hogwarts, so all you Potterheads, hurry! Once a fortified island, St Malo is another delight. Head to the Cathedrale St Vincent for an outstanding work of architecture or walk up the stairs by the Porte St Vincent and walk clockwise to check out the 15th-century Grande Porte.
