Are you traveling to Ivalo on a budget? If so, Risto’s cabin could be a good option for you. The cabin has two beds and a little kitchen area, with an oven and electric stovetop. There is a bathroom, however, it’s located outside of the cabin, in two different buildings - the toilet in one and a shared shower in another.
Two other important notes are that the cottage doesn’t have running water, so Risto asks guests to bring any water they may need and, in order to start a fire, you also need to bring along some firewood. From here, you can easily reach the town center, which is under a kilometer (.6 miles) away.

Looking for a space away from the city lights? Host Ossi has what he calls a “husky hut” in an area that may feel remote, but is fewer than 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Ivalo town center and airport. To get a sense of the space, there are three separate areas available to you - the studio, which has a stove, seating area and table, dresser and gas heater.
