Kythira is a small Greek island, situated just south of the country’s capital, Athens. A few distances away from the underrated tourist spots and Airbnbs on nearby Elafonisos Island, it is perfectly located between the mainland and Crete, making it the perfect tactical spot in ancient times. Whilst you’re on the island, spend plenty of time on its range of beaches, as well as exploring some of its historical buildings, including the Venetian Castle and the Monastery of Myrtidiotissa. Spend some time in the village of Milopotamos with its white-walled houses and its history. Check out our list of the best Airbnb vacation rentals in Kythira, Greece.
