The stellar views of the Patagonian Fjords and mountains make this an excellent place to stay. The views don’t get much better than this anywhere in the world. If you're planning to hike or trek in the area, being "hiking fit" is key. I prepared by walking everywhere with a 25- to 30-pound backpack for six weeks before the trip. I recommend carrying weight and taking stairs regularly to get used to the physical demands. You can even put heavy books or hand weights in your pack, like I did, to simulate the load.
