Known for its towering buildings and gorgeous skylines, Hong Kong is one of the most exciting destinations in the world. This region is the perfect blend of culture, history, food, and excitement. Travelers who find themselves exploring the metropolitan area rave about how stunning the place is and how it has the effect of making you feel so alive while touring. “Expect things to be more exciting, more fun, and of course, more relaxing in Hong Kong,” are what many tourists say. If you’re not a big fan of bustling streets, some spots in Hong Kong are more subdued than the rest, such as Repulse Bay, Shek O Beach, and Lamma Island. Dragon's Back is an iconic trail in Hong Kong that's within 16 kilometers of Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. The 8.8-kilometer hike along Dragon's Back culminated in us getting to Big Wave Bay in 3 hours. Because of the "dragon scales," I almost had to use my hands to climb. But the end leading down was easy.
I recommended that you hike in a group of at least two people to be on the lookout for each other. Set at least half a day or even a full day if you want to hike the entire trail.
The view from the top of Dragon's Back will differ daily depending on the weather conditions. In our case, it was foggy and rainy, so that made the hike a bit more dangerous and slippery. There wasn't much of a view from the top (except when we came down). It's okay to go slow as safety comes first.
