Blossom on Ninth prides itself on serving “vegan for food lovers,” which is a combination of classic dishes and vegan cooking techniques, with a “cruelty-free ethos.” The restaurant focuses on creating plant-based versions of classic dishes, with ingredients wherever possible locally sourced and organic. Dirty Candy is unique among the steak, seafood, barbeque and even vegan and vegetarian restaurants in New York. This is because the restaurant serves dishes crafted from only vegetables. The menu is updated regularly as the chef creates new dish ideas. Visitors can enjoy two tasting menus, The Vegetable Patch and the Vegetable Garden, to get an idea of the cuisine available in the restaurant and there is an a la carte menu at the bar. Dinner combines both cooked and raw vegetables in a range of different dishes and soups. Examples of dishes are Brussels Sprout Tacos, Spinach Mille Feuille, Portobello Mousse and Smoked Cabbage Hotpot.

Seasoned Vegan is a family-owned vegan restaurant in the heart of Harlem, New York. Brenda and Aaron Beener are mother and son and they boast of serving you your favorite dishes, but “veganized.” The ingredients of their vegetarian and vegan food are organic and sustainable. Flavors are taken from the Caribbean, Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern and American dishes and cooked as vegan and completely meat-free. The menu offers a full range of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, cooked and raw entrees, with names like “Crawfish” in Garlic Basil Sauce, Lemon-crusted “Fish” Steak and Sweet Chili “Chicken.”
