Nestling above the hills up high in the northwest highlands of Vietnam, Victoria Sapa Resort and Spa is one of the few top-notch hotels and the only alpine chalet you can find in the area. Once you are done being overwhelmed by the aerial views of Sapa from over 3,000 m (~9,842 ft) on the Fansipan, trekking endless green rice paddies, and admiring the scenic landscapes filled with sweeping valleys dotted with colorful hill tribe villages, spend the evening relaxing at Victoria Sapa’s elegant spa, fine restaurant, and cozy room. The whole premises consists of a massive main building for hotel rooms, a tennis court, and an exclusive area for beauty and spa treatments next to an event venue. All of this is surrounded by a gigantic eco-friendly outdoor area. High-end travelers must experience the comfort, style, and class of staying at this lavish hotel.

Stylish wooden interior with French and Indochinese influences

Victoria Sapa’s interior design is nicely done with a strong French and Indochinese influence, adding a European touch. The delicate decór here are visible via natural elements such as wooden furniture, stone fireplaces, bamboo, and local handmade artifacts. Their main stone hearth fireplace and heating system allocated throughout the premises keep all of the buildings warm and cozy during the rainy, foggy days of Sapa during winter time. Passing the main entrance of Victoria Sapa, you’d even have the chance to experience watching a local woman making distinct local textiles.

Spacious yet warm and cozy room with first-class comfort

Victoria Sapa is home to 77 rooms, including superior rooms, deluxe rooms, family studios and Victoria suits, all of which accommodate up to 200 guests in total. Most rooms have double or twin bed(s), with the family studio exceptionally accommodating 1 double bed and 3 single beds, plus overlooking Fansipan Mountain and Sapa town.

The Victoria Suite, the most luxurious of all, has a large living room with a sofa, armchairs, and a large writing desk. Almost every room’s balcony overlooks a peaceful garden or spectacular mountains, occasionally hidden in the early morning fog, giving the premises a mysterious and romantic atmosphere. Having every facility of a 4-star hotel, including a flat-screen TV, mini bar full of drinks and snacks, and a coffee table with coffee, Victoria Sapa’s room easily gives you the comfort desired by a world-class traveler. Dim yellow lights keep the room warmly-lit and cozy. Inside their European style bathroom, you will find everything a traveler needs in order to feel at home.

Ta Van serves a wide range of excellent meals

The European-style buffet breakfast is on point. There are various homemade jams, bread, pastries, yogurt, muesli, cheeses, cold cuts as well as cooked western and Asian dishes (e.g. fried rice and noodle soup). You can even order dishes cooked right on the spot such as banh xeo (sizzling cake) or pho, one of the most famous traditional dishes of Vietnam. Salmon is also a local specialty of Sapa. With their spot on fine wine list, the restaurant menu and room service menu offer both Vietnamese and international dishes with a strong European culinary influence.

A second massive fireplace, just next to Ta Phin bar, lightens and warm up the surrounding common area. After the long excursion of trekking through lush rice paddies and rugged mountain valleys, guests can treat themselves with a cup of hot wine, champagne, cold beer, a cocktail, milkshake, or freshly squeezed juice. Ta Van restaurant is open between 6.30 AM and 10 PM. Ta Phin bar is open from 10 AM to 11 PM.

Spa Area: health, beauty, and fitness

A wide variety of spa and beauty treatments are offered at Victoria Sapa. Guests can enjoy anything from massage and reflexology to body scrubs and wraps along with manicures. A must-try is a natural medicated bath with herbs favored by the Red Dao ethnic group. The spa is open from 7 AM to 10 PM. Bath towels, robes, slippers, lockers, and complimentary toiletries are provided not only within your room but also in the spa and swimming area.

Here at Victoria Sapa, not only can you relax with a full body and beauty treatment, but also enjoy staying fit and healthy whilst traveling. An indoor heated swimming pool provided with comfy long benches just next to the gym is ideal for sporty travelers to boost their energy in the early morning. There are both steam and dry sauna rooms in the shower area. In the evening time, be lucky enough to have the whole swimming pool and gym for yourself whilst most of the guests relax in their comfy rooms.

Customer friendly and children friendly services

All of the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and speak good English. They are ready to offer the best hospitality and services to guests, and are excellent company when you travel solo. Sit by the bar to chill, play pool, or hang out with the staff during special holidays or an event. Many families would also pick Victoria Sapa as a top choice because of the exclusively offered playroom for children, besides the Victoria Family Studio that can accommodate a whole family of five. Baby cots and babysitting services are also provided upon request.

Eco-friendly outdoor area with splendid view

Last but not least, the massive eco-friendly surrounding outdoor area offers an extra high-end value, on top of their well-organized facilities and services. Lying on top of a hill, Victoria Sapa’s location overlooks the hill, but blends in well with the natural surroundings, allowing guests to stay close to nature with the rural terraces, lush vegetation, and local hill tribes.

Traveling to Sapa with Victoria Express luxury train

Travel in style from Hanoi to Sapa with the 5-star Victoria Express night train and spend the night in romantic carriages. You can book the whole 4-berth superior cabin or 2-berth deluxe cabin, both of which are suitable for groups and families. Guests can enjoy special amenities on board including air-conditioning, wood paneled cabins, individual reading lights, baggage storage, and oversized windows. Snacks including fine bread and salads as well as drinks are served to your bedside. The extravagance with Victoria as a whole is worth the price, and is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to remember whilst traveling in Northern Vietnam. Available transfer options between Lao Cai and Sapa are reserved for guests of the hotel only.
